In May 2007, the Learning and Skills Council gave final approval to build two 6th form centres, one at Nunthorpe school and one situated between Eston Park School and Gillbrook College.
Carillion have been appointed as the contractor to build the centres and work will start on site in July 2007. The new centres will be available for Post 16 students in September 2008. Students at Nunthorpe, Eston Park and Gillbrook will then have the opportunity to stay on and study at these state of the art centres.
