Comments, Compliments, Complaints - Social Care

We are working very hard to provide high quality services that meet your needs. We are very keen to hear about how well you think we are doing and how you think we could do things better. We also want to know when things have gone wrong. This will help us learn from experience and improve our services for the future.

What happens if you make a complaint?

If you are unhappy about something, we need to know so that we can do something about it. We see complaints as an opportunity to improve our services. Once we receive your complaint, we will do our best to put things right without you having to do anything else. We will usually write within 3 working days to tell you what we have done, or what will happen next.

What if you have a concern but do not want to make a formal complaint?

Sometimes you might want to let us know of something that you are concerned about, but do not want to make a formal complaint. You can tell us about your concern by contacting us. Your concern will be passed to a service manager to look into. If you would like us to get back to you about your concern, please tell us when you contact us.

Tell us what we have done well, or how we could do things differently

It is always good to know that we have done something well! If you are pleased with something that the Council or a member of our staff has done, please tell us about it. We are also keen to hear about your suggestions for how we could do things differently or better.

All compliments, comments and suggestions will be passed to the appropriate service manager or member of staff. If you would like us to contact you with a response to your feedback, please tell us when you get in touch.
