The following types of planning application are advertised by means of a press notice and site notice:
- applications for Major Development (as defined in the General Development Procedure Order);
- proposals within a Conservation Area;
- applications for Listed Building Consent;
- departures (from local planning policy) and;
- development which is accompanied by an Environmental Statement
