Health and Wellbeing Board

Redcar & Cleveland Health and Wellbeing Board is an executive committee of key public sector providers and commissioners, including local people represented through elected councillors and Healthwatch. The Health and Wellbeing Board envisages Redcar & Cleveland to be a place where people can live healthy and fulfilling lives. Based on this vision and the findings of the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, the Health and Wellbeing Board has identified three priorities:

Priority Outcome 1 - Children and young people have the best start in life

We want children and young people to grow up in a community that promotes safety, aspiration, resilience and healthy lifestyles.

Priority Outcome 2 - People in Redcar & Cleveland live healthier and longer lives
We want to intervene early to provide opportunities and support so more people can choose and sustain a healthier lifestyle.

Priority Outcome 3 - More people lead safe, independent lives
We want more people leading independent lives through integrated and sustainable support and services.

The Health and Wellbeing Strategy is our plan for improving the Health and Wellbeing of people in Redcar & Cleveland and reducing health inequalities. The strategy identifies needs, sets priorities and describes the actions that we will take to address them.
