Designated wheelchair accessible vehicles

The Government has now commenced Sections 165 and 167 of the Equality Act 2010. Section 167 of the Act provides Councils with the power to make lists of wheelchair accessible vehicles, described as "designated vehicles".

A vehicle is wheelchair accessible if it is adapted or designed to carry at least one wheelchair user whilst in their wheelchair, and is not exempt from appearing on the Council's 'List of Designated Vehicles'.
