Since opening last April, the Palace Hub Gallery has welcomed over 28,000 visitors through its doors. Well situated on the Redcar seafront, the gallery is a large, open plan space of some 2,400 square feet (221sqm).

The rear section of the gallery has a floor space of 581 sq (54 sqm) and has 636 sq (59sqm) available wall space (floor to 8).

The gallery curators are making this rear section available to educational establishments, arts groups and practising artists who wish to hold an exhibition of work. The space can be hired in two-week blocks, with additional weeks bookable if there is no immediate follow-on exhibition.

Interested parties must submit a proposal which the gallery curators will consider in accordance with the gallerys overall exhibition ethos.

Work will be hung by the exhibiting party with the assistance of, and under the direction of the gallery staff. At the end of the show, exhibitors will be responsible for taking down work and making good the walls.

Cost: £145 for the first two weeks. Extensions to this (if available) at £60 pw.

Whats included:
  • Two weeks' hire of the space, within which are nine days when the gallery is open for visitors, two days when the gallery is closed and three days allocated for exhibition changeover.
    Heating and lighting costs
  • Services of the gallery curators and staff during selection and hanging of work
  • Stewarding of your exhibition
  • Processing of sales at gallery commission rates (currently 35%)
  • Promotion of the exhibition through the gallerys online channels
  • Use of the exhibition space for a Private View/Exhibition
  • Launch during normal gallery opening hours.

Whats not included
  • Insurance - exhibitors are advised to take out their own insurance against loss, theft and damage.
  • Taking down of work and making good the gallery space (materials provided).
  • Private View expenses and cleaning up after the event.

Palace Hub Gallery New Year Exhibition

The beginning of February sees the opening of a new exhibition at Redcar's Palace Hub Gallery. Since opening last Easter the gallery has established itself as a popular attraction on the town's redeveloped seafront.

As previously, we have paintings, photographs, sculpture, textiles, jewellery and more. We hope there will be something for every visitor to enjoy. There will be fresh work from artists who have exhibited with us previously as well as work from some new names.

The opening event takes place on the evening of 3rd February from 5.30pm until 7.00pm. All are warmly invited to come along to see the work, meet the artists and enjoy the gallery's creative buzz. There will be some light refreshment and live music.

The show opens on Sunday 2nd February and runs until 30th March.
