Tee off for a day of charity fun

Published: 6th Sep 2017

KEEN golfers could be in line to win a host of great prizes, as well as raising money for two good causes, at the Mayor's Charity Golf Day.

Taking place on Friday 22 September at 2pm, the annual golfing event will take place at Hunley Hotel & Golf Club and four-person teams are encouraged to enter what should be a fun and competitive competition.

Entry costs £150, with all the money going to The Junction in Redcar and Still Parents Baby Bereavement Support Teesside, and teams can compete for a host of prizes ranging from top three in the competition, longest drive as well as a Beat the Pro challenge.
After the golf has finished, teams will be invited to a presentation ceremony and two-course meal with the Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland, Cllr Karen King, where trophies will be given out to the winners.

Cllr King said: I am really looking forward to this golf day which will hopefully raise a lot of money for two very worthwhile local causes, The Junction and Still Parents.

"These charities do so much for our community, and I hope with this event we can give something back."

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses looking to support the event, with more information available by emailing Jane Holmes on jane.holmes@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk or calling 01642 444501.
