Council agrees new-look Cabinet

Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council's Cabinet has agreed a reshuffle to fill the Health and Social Wellbeing vacancy.

The Cabinet is now made up of the following portfolio holders:
  • Chair Council Leader George Dunning to include the Environment and Rural Affairs portfolio
  • Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Health and Social Wellbeing Councillor Sheelagh Clarke
  • Cabinet Member for Economic Development, Culture, Leisure and Tourism Councillor Mark Hannon
  • Cabinet Member for Community Protection Councillor Steve Goldswain
  • Cabinet Member for Highways, Planning and Transport Councillor Helen McLuckie
  • Cabinet Member for Housing and Neighbourhood Renewal Councillor Lynn Pallister
  • Cabinet Member for Childrens Services and Education Councillor Joan Guy
  • Cabinet Member for Corporate Resources Councillor Norman Pickthall.
Councillor Dunning, the leader of the Council, said: "We have taken the opportunity to streamline the number of Cabinet roles and will monitor the changes to ensure we continue to provide services of the highest standard to our residents."
