Good signs for blooming Grangetown

Published: 10th Feb 2010

NEW signs are heralding a community bid for Grangetown's latest efforts in the Northumbria In Bloom competition.

FROG, the community group, Future Regeneration of Grangetown, in partnership with Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, is installing signs, provided by Marketing Force Limited, the Council's roundabout sponsorship partners, on two roundabouts in Birchington Avenue to promote its efforts.

The group's membership is also working with Coast and Country Housing and the Community Payback to build on their successes of achieving a bronze award for the last three years.

The Council's Cabinet Member for the Environment Councillor Sylvia Szintai said: "We are delighted at the work the community has already done in improving the area and wish them continued success this year."
