Love It fun day at Zetland Park

Published: 31st Aug 2017

RESIDENTS of Redcar and Cleveland are invited to a Love It event, with a number of activities suitable for all the family, on Friday 1 September.

Coastal Neighbourhood Love It Fun Day is taking place at Zetland Park in Redcar from 11am to 2pm. Members of the public will be able to take part in activities such as face painting, circus skills with Marko the Clown, animal encounters with Kirkleatham Owl Centre, and more.
The event has been organised by Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council to mark the Love It campaign and is encouraging local communities to come together and demonstrate all the different ways to take care of your local area.

As part of the Love it campaign, local community groups and council staff will be there to promote recycling, and Cleveland Police will be attending to offer free property marking. Cleveland Fire Brigade will also be bringing a fire engine to the event.

Councillor Alec Brown, cabinet member for neighbourhoods at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, said: People are proud of where they live and we are so pleased that since the launch of the Love it campaign, events like these are popping up all over the borough.
Love it, is a positive, people-powered movement, which encourages people to make small changes in their community. Its all about loving where you live and caring for your surroundings in order to create a better environment.
We would encourage as many people as possible to come down and have some fun on the day. Making those small changes can make such a big difference to where you live.
