Local Craft and Produce Show

Guisborough Town Council held the Local Craft and Produce Show in Sunnyfield House on Saturday 11th August.

Despite the poor weather and growing conditions we still attracted a good number of entries, with 207 entries in the Garden Produce and Flower sections and 136 entries in the Home Baking and Craft sections. The Childrens section attracted 25 entries. Therefore resulting in a total of 368 entries.

Although entries were lower than the previous year, we did have an increased number of exhibitors, 66 in all.

The Town Mayor congratulated entrants on their high standard of exhibits and thanked everyone who had taken part in the event.

Guisborough in Bloom

Floral arrangement
Flowers on Westgate

Guisborough in Bloom continues to work in partnership with the Town Council to provide flowering baskets for the lamp columns and the Basket Tree in the key areas of the town.

Through funding received from Guisborough Market Town Partnership we have been able to locate 'Flower Fountain Planters' in Chaloner Street and Fountain Street. Thanks must go to the staff and pupils of Askham Bryan College Guisborough Centre who have donated the plants and created a wonderful display.

If you have any ideas or are keen to get involved then please contact Pandora Kilby, Secretary, c/o the Town Council Office.
