Royal treasure exhibition scoops regional culture award
AN astonishing collection of seventh century Anglo-Saxon artefacts at Kirkleatham Museum, Redcar has scooped top prize at the prestigious Journal and Arts Council culture awards.
The stunning collection, which includes rare pieces of jewellery from the final resting place of a seventh century princess, was uncovered by archaeologist Dr Steve Sherlock in Loftus, East Cleveland between 2005 and 2007. More
