Moneywise is made up of a number of different organisations who operate within Redcar and Cleveland. This includes the Welfare Rights Unit, Citizens Advice Bureau and Coast and Country Housing as well as many other partner organisations. The members of Moneywise offer a range of free advice and support service but primarily focus on welfare benefits, debt, home energy and savings.

Moneywise has been developed to raise awareness of the free advice that is available to residents in this Borough on money related issues including the changes to benefits through Government's on-going Welfare Reform program. Many changes have already occurred such as the removal of Housing Benefit for Spare Rooms (known popularly as the 'Bedroom Tax') but the program continues and many more changes will be introduced in the coming years and will affect thousands of people throughout the Borough.

To help, Moneywise has produced a range of leaflets which detail what advice services are available in this Borough and also include information on what changes have been made and can be expected to welfare benefits. Please see below for copies of these leaflets:
