Mental Health

There is information and support available.

One in four of us may experience a mental health problem at some time in our lives or know someone who needs support.

There are many reasons why we might develop a mental health problem, including dealing with social problems or a difficult personal event. There are many treatment and support options available to people with mental health problems. Adult Social Care, G.P's and Acute Mental health Services (via G.P. referral) all work together to advise and offer treatment.

Adult Mental Health Services are based at Foxrush House, Kirleatham Business Park, Redcar. They work with adults aged 18 and over with moderate to severe mental health problems. They comprehensive packages of care based on assessed individual need provided by a multi-disciplinary team, including individual and group work, intensive support programme to help early discharge and prevent re-admission. Referral to the service is via your GP, Social Worker, Heath Visitor or other professional within a primary care team. The service does not accept self referrals.
