Sportsability Club

The Redcar and Cleveland Sportsability Club is a multi sport club that offers regular structured sporting opportunities for young people within Redcar and Cleveland aged 8 - 16 years with physical and learning disabilities.

The club offers a wide range of activities, ranging from swimming to ten pin bowling to indoor rock climbing, while sports include football, netball and basketball. The Sportsability Club adapts sports and activities to suit the young people who attend the club. Unfortunately, young people requiring one to one support must provide a carer.

The Sportsability Club is coordinated at Redcar and Cleveland College every Saturday morning between 10am and 12pm. The session cost is £2.

How to join

To join the Sportsability Club you will need to complete an application form. Once the form has been returned, you will be sent further information, a parent/guardians handbook (which explains the rules and regulations) and answers to various questions you may have. You will also be sent a copy of the sport timetable, which has a week by week guide to the activities the young people will be taking part in.
