A Physical Activity Network (PAN) is an initiative developed to recognise the leaders in sport for each community. The aim of the group is to work together to widen access and increase participation in sport and physical activity for members of the public, based on their needs. The key players include partners from across sport, health, education, community safety, regeneration and the local voluntary, community and private sectors.
The Redcar and Cleveland Physical Activity Network
The PAN operates to encourage more people to participate in sport and physical activity at a level that is appropriate to them. Any new projects or proposed plans for the Borough based on sport and physical activity will come through this group.
The PAN will be working with local people who wish to become leaders or volunteers in sport and physical activity by supporting them into placements. Furthermore, the PAN will assist organisations or groups to access various funding streams and provide support completing the funding applications. The PAN's role will also involve working with clubs to help them achieve club accreditation for their association.
