Demolition - Section 80 Notice

Pursuant to Section 80 of the Building Act 1984, anyone wishing to carry out demolition works, must give notice to the Local Authority.

You must not commence the demolition until either:
a) You receive a Notice from the Local Authority under Section 81 of the Building Act 1984 informing you of its requirements in connection with the demolition
b) six weeks after the Local Authority received your Section 80 Notice, whichever is the sooner.
