Redcar and Cleveland - Public Health Grant Scheme
ROUND 8 - DEADLINE 13TH JANUARY 2012 - 4PM.
Please note: there are limited funds remaining within this funding scheme.
The Public Health Grant Scheme has been set up to encourage and enable voluntary/community sector groups and public sector partners to undertake projects that will deliver sport and physical activity and contribute to tackling a range of health issues identified as priorities, targeted at improving lifestyle and reducing health inequalities.
The aim of the grant scheme is to increase the proportion of people who are undertaking physical activity at a level and regularity beneficial to health. The scheme will support a wide range of physical activities and not just sporting activities. The scheme is not intended to support projects which aim to improve sporting performance.
The Redcar and Cleveland Physical Activity Network will manage the allocation of funding provided by the Primary Care Trust to provide physical activity opportunities. Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 can be awarded. Awards over £10,000 that attract significant match funding may be considered for approval by the Redcar and Cleveland Physical Activity Network.
The deadline for round eight of application submissions is 4pm on Friday 13th January 2012.
If you feel that your group would benefit from the Public Health Grant Scheme and you can help contribute to increasing participation in sport and physical activity, then please contact the Sports Development Team for an application form or alternatively, download the application form and guidance notes.
