Environmental Permitting, Pollution Control, LA-IPPC & LAPPC

The Environmental Protection Team is committed to protecting the health of people living, working and visiting in our borough. This includes issuing permits for certain processes to regulate environmental emissions and to respond to complaints about noise, dust and other effluvia.

Under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations (2010) as amended, the local authority has a duty to inspect and regulate premises required to hold an LA-IPPC Part A2 permit or LAPPC Part B permit.
