Design of Residential Areas SPD

The Design of Residential Areas Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) was adopted by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council on 21 July 2011.

The SPD provides detailed guidance in support of adopted Core Strategy Policy CS20 and adopted Development Policies Policy DP3. The SPD is an easy to use reference document which sets out the standard of design that is expected for new residential development proposals. It is based on the premise that good quality sustainable residential design is beneficial to developers, residents and the community as a whole.

The adopted Design of Residential Areas Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) can be accessed using the links below. The SPD is split into 6 parts to aid downloading.
