Grangetown Day of Action

Various areas around Grangetown

The Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council Neighbourhood Team will be joined by Coast and Country Housing, Cleveland Fire Brigade, Accent Housing and PCSOs for a day of action with activities including a BOYD, bin amnesty, litter pick and information relating to the use of off road vehicles.

Teesville Bring Out Your Dross Day
Covering properties in the Teesville area

Our next BOYD event takes place in Teesville on Monday 26 February.

Residents will be able to take advantage of collections of free bulky waste items between 8:30am and 1pm.

We recommend that residents leave any items they want to be collected at the kerbside on the day of collection.Loftus

Friends of Redcar Monthly Litter Picks
Taking place on the first Sunday of every month from 5 February at 11am

Meeting Point: Regent Cinema
The Friends of Redcar will be undertaking monthly litter picks on the first Sunday of every month, starting 5 February, at 11am.

Residents are encouraged to get join the event and make a difference to their area.

Litter picks take place on the following dates:
April 2 - in partnership with Tees River Trust and Tees Valley Wildlife Trust
September 17 - in partnership with Forrester Group and Tees Valley Wildlife Trust
October 29 - in partnership with Surfers Against Sewage

Countryside Volunteer Task Days
Do you like the great outdoors? Would you like to be involved in caring for our natural environment? If so, come along and join in with our Countryside Volunteer Task Days which take place every week come rain or shine at the following venues and times:

Tuesday 9.30am - 2.30pm - Guisborough Forest & Walkway, Pinchinthorpe
Tuesday 9.30am - 2.30pm - Foxrush Community Woodland, Kirkleatham Lane, Redcar
Tuesday 9.30am - 2.30pm - Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park, Normanby
Wednesday 9.30am - 2.40pm - Kirkleatham Museum and Grounds

Volunteer Task Day Volunteer Task Days at:

Flatts Lane Woodland Country Park, Normanby, Guisborough Forest Walkway, Pinchinthorpe and Foxrush Community Woodland, Kirkleatham Lane, Redcar take place every Tuesday from 10am, volunteers are asked to meet at visitor centres or the public car park at Foxrush.

Volunteer Task Day at:
Kirkleatham Museum, Redcar takes place every Wednesday from 9:30am. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Countryside Office on the Kirkleatham Museum site.

Volunteers undertake a wide variety of tasks including:
Repairing and maintaining footpaths, fences and hedge rows.
Tree planting
Construction projects around the park (see pond photos before and during although still a work in progress, after photos to follow - watch this space.)
Litter picking
Bird surveys and much more.
