Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council has a statutory duty to ensure there is sufficient childcare to meet the needs of working parents and parents who want to get back to work or develop their skills through education and training. We also need to ensure that sufficient childcare is available for children with disabilities and additional needs. Throughout 2010 we have been getting your views on childcare and supervised activities in Redcar & Cleveland for children and young people aged between 0 and 14 years and up to 17 years for children with a disability. We are now putting together an action plan looking at what we can do to help tackle the issues you have raised.
