Remit/Comments: The Main Overview and Scrutiny Committee is responsible for scrutinising all Cabinet decisions and effecting the call-in procedure. It is responsible for scrutinising issues affecting the authority and its operations as a whole, or issues which do not fall within the remit of a Council department or departments. It has a coordinating role for the whole scrutiny work programme and considers whether scrutiny reports should be submitted to Cabinet.
