The Welfare Rights Service is a small team within the Council's Area Managment Department.
We aim to:
- provide free, independent, and confidential advice and information about all Social Security benefits and Tax Credits.
- increase the take up of benefits for residents of Redcar & Cleveland Borough through the provision of advice, casework, campaigning, information, talks and training.

- Leave a message on the 24 hour answer phone on the above number and we will return your call by the next working day
