Sports Development aims to provide information relating to local sports clubs and local sporting contacts within the borough for children, young people and adults alike.

Taking part in sport and physical activity can be fun and enjoyable as well as having many worthwhile benefits. Being physically active can improve your health and can help reduce the risk of various illnesses. It can also be a way of meeting new people, socialising and improving your sense of well being.

The recommended amount of moderate intensity activity is:
Adults = 30 minutes of activity at least 5 times a week
Children & Young People = 1 hour of activity per day

Hopefully some of the sports clubs listed in the directory will encourage you to take up some form of sport or physical activity and keep yourselves active!
