South Bank by election result

LABOUR candidate Marilyn Bramley has won Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council's South Bank by election, created by the resignation of Labour ward councillor Pearl Hall.

The result, from a 27.6 per cent turnout, was: Marilyn Bramley (Labour) 652, Toni Meir (Liberal Democrat) 288, Bernard Collinson (British National Party) 206, Oz Sadiq (Independent) 101, Joan Bolton (Conservative) 59.
