THE Liberal Democrat candidate Ken Lucas has won Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council's Dormanstown ward by-election, polling 809 votes, ahead of Marian Fairley (Labour) 667, Lynn Payne (British National Party) 305 and Brian Hughes-Mundy (Conservative) 125. There was a 36.83 per cent turnout.
