We present to you a short programme of guided walks around Kirkleatham Village, each led by a different expert who will consider the architecture and heritage of this scenic village. These leisurely walks are sure to be a perfect pastime for those interested in the history, archaeology and heritage of Kirkleatham and its environs.

Climb up to the moor

A free touring exhibition at Kirkleatham Museum. This exhibition is a unique experience of moorland, with paintings by Judith Bromley & Robert Nicholls. The exhibition includes informative interpretations of the landscape and personal insights by the artists.

Rememberance Sunday Parade - St Nicholas's Church, Guisborough

Parade along Westgate (Guisborough Highstreet), to celebrate rememberance Sunda,y. The parade has old and young serving members of the armed forces as well as the voluntary sector like TA and Cadets, also Local Youth and Children groups like the Scouts and Brownies. The Salvation Army Band are also in attendance. Come along and support your local heros - young and old! the parade starts at 11.00, but most people tend to congregate in the higstreet from 10.3 am. There is a rolling road closure supported by the local police authority and community suppport officers. The parade marches along the higstreet, then up towards St Nicholas's Church where a minutes silence is conducted with a speech and appreciation to the defence work done by our armed force colleagues. A church service is then held at St Nicholas's with all welcome.

Masquerade Ball

This Magical Masquerade Ball is raising money for Asthma UK in memory of Tyler Pallister. Tyler was only 9 years old, when he died from a severe asthma attack in November 2012. The evening will consist of champagne on arrival, a three course meal, a prize raffle, auction, live entertainment.

Guisborough Town Council Hosts The Christmas Town Parade

Come and enjoy the atmosphere, family event, with shops, cafes and restaurants open for the extended evening. Come and see the parade, there are on-street entertainers and dont forget Santa coming in his Horse Drawn Carriage whilst the reindeers rest. Sunnyfield house hosts meeting Father Christmas with tickets being available before the event. PRE-PAID TICKETS ONLY: Santa's Grotto opens at 4pm - 5.30pm at Sunnyfield House. Ring Sunnyfield House for further details on 01287 634595. Carol singing around the Christmas Tree 4.15pm onwards, Santa's Parade 6pm from Sunnyfield House with lots of local groups and organisations taking part, Various musical performances around the Town. Street entertainers, Santa's Grotto re-opens 6.30-8pm.

Unveiling of RAF Memorial

The Friends of Redcar Cemetery have been working very hard over the last three years to establish a lasting memorial to the RTAF within our cemetery.We have been very fortunate to have had local firms make a considerable contribution in kind.Everything is set for an unveiling ceremony on the 1st September at 2.00pm.Everyone is welcome and a reception will take place in Borough Park Bowls Club afterwards.
