A New Transport Option for the Redcar & Cleveland Area

2PlusTravel is a new car sharing scheme hosted by Redcar & Cleveland Council. It will enable people to search for/or offer lifts for travel into and out of the area, and is open to both individuals and businesses.

Applications:

• Commuter travel
• ‘School runs’
• Getting to college
• Travel to outlying villages
• Shopping trips
• School travel plans
• Business travel plans

In fact, any journey you would normally make by car.

Benefits:

• Saves you money
• Reduces parking problems
• Reduce traffic congestion & pollution
• Widens recruitment catchment areas
• Integrates transport to rural villages
• Reduces need for a second car

The website is free to use and also links to the latest in public transport information via Traveline.

Traveline calls provided by BT will be charged at 10 pence per minute at all times. A call set-up fee of 6 pence per call applies to calls from residential lines. Mobile and other providers' charges may vary
